I’d like to take a moment to explain what this e-book is and is not. It’s a highly personal, nonobjective guide to photographing many, but not all areas of Alaska written by me as well as other wildlife and nature photographers I know and respect. In the summer of 2016 I made my third trip to Alaska. I spent eight weeks crisscrossing Alaska in my truck and trailer visiting some of the well-known and less well known parts of Alaska. In preparation for this trip I spent weeks researching the areas I wanted to visit and discovered there was no photographers guide to Alaska.  Based on this need, I decided to write one. Alaska is a big place and very few photographers have been everywhere there.  Certainly, I haven’t, so I’ve asked other photographers to fill in the blanks. The photographs are annotated with exposure information and equipment used for each photograph.  Finally, this book is filled with references to other books and online material to help you plan and execute the Alaska photo trip of your dreams.
